I Love Birthday Wishes!

Hello Family and Friends, it's Sister Frasier. First, I want to say, THANK YOU for all the birthday wishes. I could not believe my email box had so many Birthday wishes delivered all day long! It lifted me up and reminded me how many people are on my team and thinking about me. I felt so loved! My birthday was a busy day filled with sushi, Trader Joe's, District P-Day singing at the widow's homes and ending the day by going to Leatherby’s ice cream. Did you know that Leatherby's first location was started in Sacramento right by my area.

Look at this fun package my Aunt Sally, Uncle Ben and Eliza sent me!

It’s been a crazy week here in Eastern Avenue in the Sacramento California Mission. After serving in another area in a trio I have been assigned back to Eastern Avenue with Sister Fife as my companion. She was part of my trio previously but now it is just the two of us working as STL’s (Sister Training Leaders). I am still not sure what I am doing yet but that's how life goes, ha-ha. The Lord truly does provide for us. It's been very cool to see how he's prepared this area, and so many of the people living here. I was in this area prior to my trio assignment. During this time, Sister Fife, my new companion had been on many exchanges in this area with me. Because of this she was very familiar with the area before she was assigned here as my new companion. Sister Fife and I are seeing so many miracles here in California.

Above Picture- Me trying to clean off my dress after spilling on it for the fourth time in one day. Thank Heaven Sister Stickle had given us a case of water to keep in our car. The dress was not even mine. It was my companions. So blessed to have a washing machine!

I love serving with Sister Fife. She connects with individuals easily and she's very bold when she testifies. She'll run up to the mailman or the delivery person and ask her if they would like a water bottle and then proceed to tell them her purpose as a missionary, I love her. She also a queen at short powerful statements if I've ever seen one. Okay now for story time

The past week and a half has been insane! I looked at the calendar and realized that only a week and a half had passed. It seemed like 3 weeks and my body thought so too. On PDay I took a nap for two and a half hours and that was quite delightful. I know this won’t shock my mom. But a good nap is a rare thing for a missionary and not something I get to do very often. A Birthday present to myself! We have had some spiritual highs, a few of those highlights have been Missionary Leadership Council where we counseled together for the needs of the mission. It was a meaningful and spiritual experience. We're working on preserving the mission culture here with the arrival of our new Mission President, President, and Sister Black. See some pictures of this conference below-

Below is my first mission leadership council! We meet with all the Zone Leaders and Sister Training Leaders! We also had a wonderful lunch made by Brother and Sister Honeycutt. (They are the ones wearing the "Cook of Mormon" aprons.

All our friends consistently came to church which is wonderful! We've had four people come to church this week and last week it was two! Yesterday we had a baptism for our friend Elliot. Because I'm over the YSA ward we have multiple missionaries. The Sisters teach the women, and the Elders teach the men. If you remember a while back, we were teaching a friend named Kevin that we had met at Taco Bell. While we were teaching him, we lost contact and did not know where he was. Apparently, he had left and went back to New York which we learned because he texted us and told us he would be at church on Sunday at the YSA ward. He was not MIA like we had thought. When he texted us, we told the missionary group chat that we have with all the missionaries over the YSA wards. The Elders were a little frustrated because they had tried repeatedly to contact him, and he never responded to them. However, he reached out to me and Sister Fife. So, we are not sure what his intentions are, but we are happy that he decided to reach out and join us for church. Sometimes we must remember that things happen on the Lord’s time and not ours. The YSA ward is seeing Miracles. I say this because recently the YSA had a new Bishop called. This has made a big difference for one of our friends Trayvon. He decided to start attending this new YSA ward instead of the family ward. This will mean we will be transferring him over to the Elders. We have been working for a long time with him. I will be sad to transfer him over to the Elders, but I know that this will be a good thing for him. I have really grown to love Trayvon and all his questions. He really forces me to think and to work hard.

The Ward here has an annual 4th of July breakfast and children's bike parade. I heard from many of the other missionaries that most of the wards in Sacramento do this. It was great fun!!

Another inspiring story is about our friend Ali. We have had about 4 lessons with her. She had come to the baptism of our friend Elliot. Later that evening in the middle of the night she had an impression to read 1 Nephi 10:9. Because we have just begun teaching her, she's not super familiar with the Book of Mormon. After she finished reading the verse, she looked at the clock and it was 2:22 a.m. The verse is a verse about baptism. She told us that she believes that the numbers 222 are angel numbers. She believed that this was not coincidence and the impression she felt helped her to understand that she was on the right path, and she needed to pursue more. She told us that she felt that the spirt was literally telling her where to go to find the answers she needed and that she was being led to baptism. The next morning, she texts us to tell us about this experience and we asked her “what do you think this all means?” she replies, “I think I need to get baptized!” We were so happy for her and believe she is truly an elect person. God is with all of us if we ask for help, he will guide us to the answers that we are seeking.

Lastly, we are teaching a recent converts cousin Sequoia, she has a pure heart. I love teaching her even though sometimes it's kind of chaotic ha-ha. Teaching her reminds me about the importance of forgiveness. This would be my challenge to each of you this week, work towards trying to forgive someone this week and to realize that the Lord truly does want us to resolve all the conflicts with others in our life. We see the rewards of this every single day along with so many miracles. I would have to write a 40 page email each week just to cover them all. But I want to testify that the Lord does live, the word “Christ” means “expected deliverer”. I know that it was prophesied that Jesus Christ would deliver us. I know that he delivers me every single day. I love this gospel and I love each one of you. Please pray for me and the Lord's friends, our Brothers and Sisters.

Love, Sister Frasier
